CNN Cancels 'John King' USA

It's deja vu all over again at CNN: "Situation Room" previously ran from 4-7 PM. "John King" moved back an hour from 7 PM to 6 PM to accommodate Erin Burnett's show... I guess not many people noticed.

Many local TV stations usually broadcast a local news program and a network news program in the same time period as "John King USA" Monday through Friday. I guess many TV viewers and listeners did not want to miss their local 4:00 PM, 5:00 PM, or 6:00 PM newscasts or even the network newscasts. Some folks may have been more interested in "Bloomberg West" than "John King USA", since there have been fewer regular TV programs about technology since the end of TechTV.

And with the departure of "Oprah," more stations have been programming local news at 4 PM - "The Situation Room's" first hour for years.

Is there a comparison to how King's ratings at 6 PM did vs. when the third hour of "Situation" was previously carried at 6 PM?
