CNN Dumps Mark Geragos

Apparently he's being named in the Michael Avenatti extortion allegations.

CNN jettisoned celebrity lawyer Mark Geragos on Monday after reporting that he is alleged to be the unnamed co-conspirator in the Southern District of New York’s criminal complaint against another celebrity lawyer, Michael Avenatti.

Garagos, best known for repping the likes of former NFL-er Colin Kaepernick, actor Jussie Smollett and singer Chris Brown, has been a legal analyst for CNN; that’s no longer the case, CNN reported Monday afternoon, while also reporting Geragos did not immediately respond to CNN’s request for comment.

“Attorney Mark Geragos moonlighted as a CNN legal analyst … but not anymore, per a CNN spokeswoman,” CNN’s media guru Brian Stelter tweeted. He added, for good measure, “He’s no longer a contributor.”

Mark Geragos is a slimy lawyer that other lawyer that use to be Stormy's lawyer as well Michael.

Mark Geragos was also Jussie Smollett's lawyer for the "fake hate crimes" scandal in Chicago.

Police said they have evidence to prove that he did it because he wasn't satisfied with his salary on the show, but attorneys for Smollett say there has been a lot of misinformation in this case and Smollett is innocent. However, after court Thursday, they decided not to make a statement.

Smollett's attorney requested he be allowed to travel to meet with his attorneys in New York and California. The request was granted with the requirement that he notify the court of travel and be back for legal proceedings.

Smollett is represented by Los Angeles-based attorney Mark Geragos, as well as local Chicago attorney Ron Safer. Geragos specializes in white collar crime.
