Hmm CNN has been seen as a lame network for sometime.

The fact that it is seen that way is sad, because of the three cable news channels, CNN is probably the LEAST bias.

But, I guess people don't want just straight up news, they want a heavy liberal (MSNBC) or conservative (Fox News) bias.

People only want straight up (CNN) news when there's a major breaking news story, it seems.

The problem with the three major news networks is that they basically all suck. Remember the days when CNN was all over the globe with cameras and reporters? Now they became yet another outlet for pundits to scream at each other. Also way too much fluff, celebrity gossip and pseudo-news. CNN has faded because they tightened the purse strings, rely more on in-studio activity (as if anyone really wants to see wall-to-wall Wolf Blitzer) and began imitating the other guys.

Global News is now done by PBS and BBC News. CNN is basically the Fox News and MSNBC of 17 years ago.
