CNN HEADLINE NEWS

Why is Headline news so stuck on the Caylee Anthony case, this has been going on way to much time. Yes It's a sad case, but there is more news going on, and they spend hours and hours on it.

At this point, HLN is basically just CNN competing with itself rather than offering news in a different format. Why this is allowed to continue happening is beyond me.

I bet the Canadian news channels like CBC Newsworld & CTV Newsnet are more informative than CNN Headline News, & we don't get these channels here in America. I wish we would have this kind of format here like what the old Headline News did before they became more tabloidish. I still miss the old Headline News format when it was 30 minutes worth of news, with no BS. But tell it the Pew Project of Excellence in Journalism & see how the credibility of the U.S. media that has been continuing to go down with the rest of the world, but I hope our politicians in Washington need to have some sort of journalistic policy to get it back on track. This is why only 30% trust CNN, compared to 42% back in 1998. That's what I would like to see again.

I was just thinking that the other day. You knew that you could be brought up to date at the top and bottom of every hour. I miss that. Much in the same way I miss music videos every time I check Much Music and see people in a dance competition. (Yuk). Check please!

I miss those days that anytime you want the news for the day you turn on HLN, you can't find it anywhere, except on the computer of course, all of the cable news channels have turned into the tabloid format or long discussion format. HLN needs to go back to the 30 minute news updates and let CNN take care of the long discussion of news stories.
As for MTV and VH1, Viacom has ruined those networks with the mindless reality shows and they have nothing to do with MUSIC ANYMORE.

Well it could be worse say Headline News could've been "stuck" on Larry Sinclair. The goofball who posted a video of himself on You Tube claiming he had sex and did drugs with President Obama. Even though Sinclair failed the lie detector tests plus the fact he had done time in a mental hospital, the printed tabolids still give him as much space as they do for Caylee. Yeah it could be worse.

Other than Robin Meade (is she still on?), there is no point in watching HLN anymore! ::)

You think if Time Warner needs to make more budget cuts, they could just merge the morning shows on CNN and HLN? Both of them already generate the same audience share in morning drive.

They're also both the same worthless garbage.

Much Music? I haven't heard that name in a long time. When I unplugged that lousy cable TV five years ago, Much Music USA had been renamed Fuse. It still showed all of those different music videos, but when I last checked a few years ago, there were more reality and dance shows and less music videos. I'm just glad that I taped 1000s of hours of music videos going all the way back to 1985, which I have converted onto DVD. Now when I want, I can sit back and watch MY own music video channel.
