CNN: Low ratings? How about a new set!

New set! How about hiring some new people?

CNN deep-sixed a number of talented news people that helped start that news network back in the 1980s and replaced them with so-called big names who demanded large salaries. The only "big name" left is Larry King and how much longer does he have?

CNN Headline News has changed format from what used to be a news outlet to a version of "Entertainment Tonight." There are more stories about Hollywood celebrities than real news. HN is the 2010 version of the movie "Network."

I don't bother to watch so-called cable TV news anymore and, according to ratings, neither to a lot of other viewers.

You're forgetting Wolf Blitzer.

I would argue that "American Morning" co-host John Roberts also has some years of experience that he brings to the table... but if that show keeps getting beat by Robin Meade on sister network HLN, it will not end pretty...
