CNN Muddles Through Despite Power Failure In D.C.

I think WXII Winston-Salem, NC won an award for their May 5, 1989 news coverage.

I don't know precisely what they had, but they were tryuing to be professional with as little as a station can have. They were probably on a generator.

Apples to carrots comparison

A network (Especially one with vast resources like CNN does) has many studios in many cities around the world which to broadcast from. A local station doesn't have this luxury. For them, it's either the studio, the transmitter site (If they either have somebody there or can get someone there) or the street

Just sayin'.....

Cheers :D
