CNN To Hire Eliot Spitzer?

Okay, now I've seen everything. First, CNN hires boxing analyst Max Kellerman to be a regular contributor to the network, and now there is speculation that they could be adding disgraced former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer to their roster:

How long before Dish Network decides to replace CNN with their own news network?

In all fairness, Spitzer recently has been feeling his oats in the cable news genre, appearing as a guest host on MSNBC to well-received reviews.

I know this seems odd. But I've seen the "reformed Spitzer interviewed a few times recently. He is extremely articulate and very witty. He'd be a very good pundit. He's kind of odd looking and not particularly telegenic, but you don't have to have the looks of John Roberts' or Soledad O'Brien to be a TV pundit or commentator. Examples: James Carville, or his wife Mary Matalin.

I wonder if it will be a how to show. How to pick a hooker and how to hide the money you spent from the "little woman".

Spitzer has appeared on "Real Time with Bill Maher" a handful of times since his resignation, and I'm always impressed with his wit and charisma. I think he is ideally situated to host.

As far as looks go, though, the news networks certainly aren't a beauty paegaent. Generally, when someone is too "pretty", they get called out for it and aren't taken seriously. Its a stupid double standard.

Eliot Spitzer's most recent stint was filling in for Ed Shultz (sp?) on MSNBC. From what I've seen of the Governor there, he'd make Rod Bladgodovich (sp?) look REALLY bad.

JMO.....

Cheers :D

How about Jerry Springer subbing for Chris Matthews on "Hardball" one day? He's an NBCU employee, so it's possible.
