Coach Dave Dunaway passes away

Sad to note the passing of Coach Dave Dunaway, Sr., longtime eduactor and broadcaster. I remember hearing him doing high school play-by-play on WJPR, Greenville; and remember him doing a weekend show on easy-listening WBAQ, Greenville, where his theme song was "Dear Hearts". Coach Dunaway was my principal at Solomon Jr. High.

Dave's son Dave, Jr. went on from Greenville radio to WJDX, Jackson, where he was a midday legend in the Tanner era; to a screaming night jock at Y-100, and beyond; now Ops Mgr at Guaranty Broadcasting in Baton Rouge.

Same guy, I believe.
