You could almost say the same thing about Classic Rock prior to the flip.
So BAS now operates
92.1 - OLDIES
99.1 - ADULT CONTEMPORARY
100.9 - COUNTRY
102.7 - HOT ADULT CONTEMPORARY
1450 - NOSTALGIA
1600 - NOSTALGIA
And ELB operates
95.3 - ADULT ALBUM ALTERNATIVE
96.1 - COUNTRY
1510 - SPORTS
The smart thing would be for ELB to flip to "Rock" but not just your typical rock station...one that blends in new, classic, world class rock. They could call it "THE ROCK OF THE NORTHCOAST"
Oh well, just an idea at least. And they could get all the Roeder Harley money!
Kentucky, you forgot ELB owns "The Wave"-107.3 Smooth Jazz
Notice neither company has ONE CHR with only Kiss Toledo & Kiss Cleveland on either side. Closest thing to the north is WTWR in Monroe & South is Y105 which leans more toward HAC.
If BAS's reasoning for the Coast country flip is because "WCKY is now Toledo" then why didn't they just make Coast Active Rock/AOR like they should have done when CC sold them & were no longer cousins with WIOT?
Ray,
Why so uptight? Victory Honda sells cars to country music lovers all the time!
Wrong again my name isn't Ray.
Update: Due to their 100% country automation on 100.9 BAS has fired Randy Evans, former host of Classic Rock Saturday Night on WMJK, WCPZ & further back WXKR, making him victim #9 to the "good ole boys' piped in programming.
