Coast 101.3 San Luis Obispo needs a new Morning Host?

There's an ad on all access for a new morning host at KSTT. What became of Steve? I'm out of the market and had not heard anything about his departure.

Well, I listened online yesterday (I'm on the East Coast) and Steve (Kahuna) was still doing the morning show with Becky. Perhaps he will be leaving for a better opportunity and has given El Dorado time to find a replacement. Or maybe he's been offered a position with greater responsibility within the group (I'm trying to be positive about a fellow broadcaster). Either way, good luck to Steve (and his replacement). From an East Coaster's perspective this market appears vibrant and competitive.

For those who care: Steve Marchese (Kahuna) is gone from the KSTT FM website and, I presume, from the station all together. Anyone know what happened and if his replacement has been hired?

Steve and I used to share an office 20+ years ago at the old KZOZ-FM studios in Arroyo Grande when we were both AE's. He's a fun guy, a really genuine person, and no doubt he will be missed. I heard the last 20 minutes of his show a few weeks ago and he seemed very vague about why he was leaving, or what he's doing next. He mentioned that he was leaving the Central Coast so, perhaps he's moving on to a bigger market?
