Coast 93.3 new logo/imaging

I kind of thought this would happen eventually, but it would appear that as of this week, Coast 93.3 has a new logo. See for yourself:

I'm really not surprised, as this appears to be Clear Channel's "premium choice" style for all its Hot AC and Top 40 stations. I know that WHYN/Mix 93.1 and Springfield made this change, as did a lot of others. I wonder if this will eventually happen to Kiss 108, as they have had their same logo for years. And with this new logo, what's the point of even calling it "Coast?" Is anything on WSNE local anymore anyways?
 
Why would a logo change carry so much importance? Coast has been coast on and off forever, I don't think there's any need or point to changing the name.

Kristin Lessard is still local, PM Drive.
 
I liked the former logo. Instead of spending money to change logos, get their company cars relogoed, getting their stationary reprinted, etc., they should spend that money by hiring on-air staff and improving the on-air product.

We're talking about a corporate logo... I had a great new logo done for my station for under 200 bucks. You wait 'til the old stationery's gone, and when you place your new order you send them the new .psd file... no expense there. You re-wrap the vehicle for a couple grand... that's hardly employment money. You couldn't even sustain a part timer for a year on what they spent.

I like the freshened logo.
 
So, am I correct in saying that Kristin Lessard is co-hosting morning drive at B101, then hosts afternoon drive on Coast 93.3? Both live? Wow!

I like it, and I like the station improvements over the past year.

I would have liked to seen Matty succeed here, and I would like to hear someone else local. I like Kristen, but to have her on all 3 FM stations is overkill.
