coast to coast am pre-emptied yet again

Last night (Friday), Coast to Coast AM was pre-emptied for the Hannity show which ran from midnight to 3AM, then Coast to Coast resumed. As much as I love Hannity, why put him on at that time. He should be on his regular time as when he was on WWIQ, not buried after midnight when us Coast to Coast listeners want to hear George and Wells. How can the management of WPHT continue to pre-empty Coast to Coast, WILM was un-listenable last night so I had to tune to WWVA and suffer through the static. You would think a market as big as Philly should air this show full time without having to go to a puter or satellite or any other means besides a regular AM radio to listen. I know the WPHT problems have been beat to death on this board, but this is a legit concern, I know some other Station would love to pick up CTCAM so why doesnt WPHT unload it. Tonight its going to be informercials non stop. When a small flea powered rural station like KVPI 1050 in Louisiana can air the show full time and this powerhouse has to pre-emply it something is wrong on the planet...

There's only one other talk station in town, and is there any reason to believe they would want it?

Sometimes, someone is going to end up with the short end of the stick. It's just the way life goes.
 
Before you to decide to blame CBS local management, look to Premiere Radio (Clear Channel) which distributes both show. It could be their call to get Hannity's spots aired - even at the expense of C2C. Whenever Rush or Hannity are preempted (like for ballgames), stations are required to make up the spots. Just guessing here: CBS' local computers may not have been able to pull the spots from Hannity's show to run during C2C, so they just ran the whole show.
Or maybe you can blame aliens and the Illuminati.
