One thing you must realise...a post like this usually invites those with gripes to post a tarnished opinion. More than likely, they were an intern gunning for a jock spot and were passed over. So, take everything with a grain of salt.
I don't know the crew at Coastal from Adam...but, vacationing in Wildwood for years, I can say that the three Coastal stations (Slammin Gold, The Coast and Q107) have a presence in Cape May County and they do a darn good job being the "hometown stations" for CMC. I understand the stations are very well run and the owners and staff seem to generally care about the listeners. (Well, DOX nonewithstanding, but I digress). And that is why Coastal seems to be able to put on formats that other station do on a larger scale. BUT!!! These stations are not exclusive to Cape May Co. like Coastal is. Especially in a market where most of the competition is repeaters and satellite-exclusive programming with hardly any sort of local angle.
Does anyone know if Bill Huf does "Lifesounds" on the Coast Sunday nights? I didn't see the show on the website. I enjoy the new age music, especially on a Sunday night before taking the trip home and starting the work week.
And no, I am not an employee of Coastal. Just an unbiased opinion of a former jock who can't seem to shake that ol' radio bug, LOL!<P ID="signature">______________
