Cochran's 96.7 WDXQ seeks signal change

I see that WDXQ Cochran is seeking to move its signal down the dial to 107.5 with a similar signal as now. The move of 107.5 Wrightsville to 107.9 made room for this potential change. I wonder if any changes to 96.5 Gray might come out of this or how long term this might impact 96.7 Peachtree City,

Around mid-1982, the Bromo engineering consultants from St. Simons determined that 96.7 could upgrade to 96.9 with 100kw @ 1,000' near the Bleckley/Dodge county line. Two other upgrade options existed. One was 25kw at 97.5 from their current site and another was 50kw also in the vicinity of 97 Mhz. With "Happy" Howard Williamson's legal issues surrounding his controversial talkshow "REACT", none of the above were successfully pursued by Georgia Communications Corporation, the owners of WVMG 96.7.

Since I spent three years at WVMG in the early 80's, I still get questions regarding Happy's whereabouts.
