Cold Feet About KUSF Sale?

Yeah, it would be nice if the FCC would allow companies to LMA radio stations HD-2 or HD-3 signals and not the entire station. That way, companies that have no interest in a secondary HD signal could lease that signal. In Jackson, Hometown Radio leased a SCS/SCA signal of their former station when it was sold to a different company.

I don't think there's anything keeping them from leasing the signal - something similar to what Hometown Radio did in Jackson. I just don't think there would be any buyers that are willing to pay what a station feels they need to recoup their investment in digital. I suspect that the audio channels on the "channel 1" DTV signal we get OTA have more potential audience than an HD-2.
