Just wondering what other methods are used for collecting on old accounts?
I took the end around with a well known agency.
They started with us last May, For us it was a big buy mid 4 digits.
They promoted a well known issue in southern Vermont.
We played all the spots as stated in the buy.
Paid the agency commission in Sept 08.
Contacted the rep in late Sept to find he was no longer with the company.
Tried other contacts, never a response just a run around.
Last week I decided to go to the company that was represented.
I used the end around and went for the VP of public relations ( This company is VERY concerned with their image in Southern Vermont)
I explained our situation and asked that a well placed phone call to the rep agency would help.
This was last FRIDAY!...TODAY I received the full amount from the agency and they apologize for the delay.
I just wonder what other methods are used to collect on agency's that don't pay? For future reference.
