College Football Coverage

What a year for sports radio! Looking back at Auburn, Ohio St, Miami, now Penn St - how much time is sports radio spending on real "sports" opposed to sports 'scandals' ?? And thats just college! (steroids, lockouts, etc in pros) Sad.

What are you trying to say hear?

How can you not talk about scandals? That's more of something to talk about during the week until the next slate of games can be broken down as we get more towards the end of the week. Even the more casual fans or those who don't even follow sports have opinions on these things.

I'm simply asking what is it that sports fans want to listen to: wins and losses and highlights and previews -or- investigations and litigation and legal-ese.
Now, it seems a sports radio host needs to research football, baseball, basketball AND criminal law before each show

Criminal behavior in sports is a part of the idea of good vs. evil.
Good vs. evil is in the storyline in every major, profit-from-ticket-sales-oriented movie. It's what makes rivalries in sports. Good vs. evil (and salacious gossip) brings something for the fans who aren't x's and o's stat/matchup geeks.
It's what people talk about around the water cooler errrrrrrrrrr on internet message boards.
So talking about criminal behavior on a sports station is bound to happen.
