College Radio ISO BEI Card and a Satellite

We are running Vault2, but did not get a BEI remote card with our system...Anybody have an extra one they would like to sell or donate to a college? Also, we are in need of a 12' solid 2 degree compliant sat dish to air programming with a Starguide III. Starguide is on the way...just need a dish to attach it to once it gets here...

Any ideas?

Thanks

Can you use an ISA BEI card or do you need PCI? If you can use ISA, I have one you can probably have.

Open up your automation computer and make sure you have black slots with relatively large pins. White or any other color will not work. Normally you'll find them at the bottom of the motherboard.

If the computer is relatively new (less than 5 years old), you won't have ISA slots.

I'll check that tomorrow.. the computer is relatively new. All I want to be able to do is have a button on the board that the djs can press to go to the next song. We are using the keyboard now, but when DJ's switch back and forth between adobe audition (for recording and playing phone calls) sometimes the keyboard doesn't work and then they fumble for the mouse.. It would seem that a button should be pretty easy to make work... tech support tells me that most new computers come with bei cards...mine is just over a year old and apparently didn't come with one..

You really shoudnt be running any other apps on the Vault machine... Are you running a Vault Express or a full fledge Vault / Vault2 system.. I have set up a college station before with VaultExpress, and after about a month of using it, had to lock down the machine (internet, email, instant message , etc) because these other apps were causing problems with playback. I suggest finding a old computer somewhere, loading it up with audition (or even the free audacity) and boom, you have a seperate editor.
