College Radio jocks getting hired by Commercial Stations

Nik made an interesting comment about College jocks that wasn't based in fact. Fact is, there are college radio jocks getting hired by the major stations. I'm not going to put names here because those hard working people shouldn't get attacked - but there are college jocks making it to the commercial stations - even if they are being hired in a non on-air capacity at first, they are getting hired. If commercial stations shouldn't hire from the college pool, where should they find the next wave of talent?

WRONG AS USUAL. I did not say that comercial stations should not hire college talent, I was speaking about one station in particular that cannot afford to hire anyone but talent who are seasoned and ready to hit the ground running as they are already in a difficult position with declining ratings and being beaten by their primary competition (12+) for the first time in their history. Had it not been for WNYU I myself would not have been hired as a jock, I applaud college radio but to suggest that the station in question's next crop of jocks shoud come from WERS or the art institute or wherever else Joe mentioned is silly. It's like saying that VH-! should hire their next VJ from the slim pickins of obscure cable access shows. It wont evver happen dont be obtuse.

David Lee Roth never went to college and he did a grea.... Oh, never mind. ;D

Joe, can't you at least quote what you're criticizing? Where's your crutch, I mean editor?
