Does the Columbia, SC market have room for more FM move ins or changes? For the capital city, they sure got the short end of the stick. The last FM I recall moving into Columbia was 107.5 WNKT from Charleston.
The FM dial is likely set at this point. It's true that Columbia got only a few full power FM outlets. Many Columbia FM stations are Class A (6,000 watts or less), even though they do OK in the ratings. And Columbia is surrounded by a lot of nearby markets: Charlotte, Charleston, Greenville-Spartanburg, Augusta, Myrtle Beach. So that limits Columbia's full-power FM outlets.
