Columbia's Forthcoming Move-Ins: WEAF 1130, WNKT 107.5

Wow, pretty strong words coming from you. It's not often I see such direct
"trashing" on this board. When you say "performing", do you mean how the
stations "look" in R & R to everyone, or how much revenue is brought in?
One pays the mortgage, while the other only feeds the ego for a few minutes.
Have you looked at a Miller-Kaplan lately?

Wabbit,
I'm confused on this. Citadel Columbia has had the same General Manager for twenty years or so. Charleston has had lots of turnover, but seem to have a solid leader now. So who's trying to hang on to their job?

I second that Bugz. Bill McElveen has managed WTCB and, later, the rest of the cluster with a very steady, consistent hand. They've never knee-jerked to anything. Say what I will about B106's programming, Bill McElveen gets Five Stars in my book.

With the exception of CCU Columbia and Double O, general management in town is pretty remarkable in the consistent performance of the clusters.

It would be nice if more clusters would be run like the Columbia Citadel cluster and CC Columiba could take a leson from them as well
