Columbus Cuts?

Speculation.... no problem.... we do that all the time. Speculation masquerading as fact, that's where I have the problem.
Sono,
Above is a quote from you on the Cleveland board in a discussion about CC cuts. What's your beef? We're all discussing possibilities here. Nobody has claimed anything as fact.

All you have to do is listen to the 7 p.m. news tonight and check 93.3's website. I think the facts are right in front of everyone.

I'll stand by what I said and let the cards fall.

ok now what ?

Well.....I don't know about you, but I'm looking forward to my awesome drive home through Columbus traffic. Then I'll get home to enjoy some delicious leftovers. After that, I'll probably sit down and decide that out of the 1000 channels I have, nothing is on, go to bed and start my day again.

My point is that we've been rehashing with cited "unnamed sources" as well as some allusions to what has been in the paper or on the news. All I was asking that if someone has some actual facts (which were said to exist here but never printed) to please print them up and with the existence of (alleged) facts the speculation should come to a screeching halt. My curmudeonly manner was not directed at any particular person who posted (and I do give credit to Radioboy for prefacing his comments as speculation) but the rampant proliferation of unfounded rumors masquerading as coming from "informed sources." I did hear from elsewhere that three people did get the gate at CC/Cols. That's always unfortunate but compared to the bloodbaths that have occurred in other markets.... both a CC and non-CC facilities it was overblown.

Here's the scoop (before the 106.7 launch today)

At 5:30 Monday afternoon, Clear Channel Columbus had a fire sale:

>>Stuart Osborne, WTVN News...fired (2nd time)

>>Scott Gerfen, WTVN News...dedicated news on demand

>>Amy Donovan, 93.3...fired. Shift becomes 9-4, part-time.

>>Chuck Gillespie, 93.3...shift becomes 4-10 as of January 2.

>>John Tesh, 93.3...canceled

>>DaveMan, The Brew...9-4 as of January 2, plus off air duties

>>Rafferty, The Brew...4-10 as of January 2, plus off air duties

>>Andy Clark, 93.3...leaving middays at WNCI. Full time WLZT PD, morning show 5:30-9.

>>Joe Boxer, WCOL...adding middays at WNICI, replacing Andy Clark. Both shows presumably live.

>>New format for 106.7...released Thursday.
