Columbus ranked 4th for Superbowl

I was watching NBC4 news this evening and they had mentioned that the Columbus market was ranked 4th in the entire nation for viewing the Superbowl. I can't seem to find any link online to back up their claim but regardless that's impressive.

That is not too surprising... Columbus in a sense, is like Indianapolis and there have been comparisons between the two cities.

Here is a current one.. Thanks for the correction... Too fast on the trigger..

Super Bowl XLVI was the most watched program in television history, according to NBC, its 111.3 million viewers surpassing the previous audience champ, last year’s Super Bowl XLV with 111.0 million.

Boston had the highest rating (56.7) for a local market, followed by Indianapolis (56.4), Norfolk, Va. (54.2), Columbus, Ohio (54.1) and New Orleans (54.0 on WDSU). In New Orleans, a local rating point represents 1 percent of total TV households, or about 6,440 homes.

This is the NBC Press release:
