My thoughts - the Golden Triangle wasn't kind to country at all this time around the block - K94 jumped off the deep end... although, WQJB hit the books this time... someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this is the first time they're been in the book.

I'll say this though - the urban stations did well - WTUG was the highest outta state station with over a 4 12+.

What does WLZA need to do besides get a bigger stick to hit with? I admit I like the station - hate to see it constantly have poor ratings.

What do ya'll think?
______________

What a weird market! How can a WKOR bounce so much over three books, for example. Wonder if the urban gospel station can sell ads there any better than other markets? Not trashing anybody, just feeling the pain. Guess most of the advertisers there don't buy by numbers. Hope not, since the numbers are so inconsistent.

Definatly a different market by far... heavily skewed Urban- but I don't see folks abandoning Country for Hip Hop...probably just the way the diaries bounced...this has always been an overpopulated market...wish I had an answer for what to do here...sure hope those knuckle heads over at Cumulus (corporate) don't knee jerk and do something stupid...

> You are exactly right Terry... its just the way the diaries are placed/returned. What could WKOR-FM possibly have done wrong to go down by that much. Nothing. Just shows how unreliable the diary process is.

Down below on the Tupelo thread, someone asked if WUMS from Ole Miss ever showed up in the Tupelo book. MC said that they did once in a while, but seldom b/c of the signal. What about WMSV in the GTR book? Do they not show up b/c they are non-commercial?
______________

If it's non-commercial, it won't show, although now you made me think about whether or not K-Love stations will continue to be shown in the Arbitrons since it's a listener-supported format.

OK, class.... to be clear... non-coms ARE measured and recorded just like commercial frequencies...they do not appear in the printed book (if you still look at it)....but they are available in other products like Tapscan and Maximizer....if you are interested in WMSV, find someone who has access to one of the software programs and have them look it up....
