My those "Go Daddy" commericals are getting racier!

I was sitting there watching the Super Bowl when it happened. There it was, right between the end run and the touchdown. I hollered over at Ethel, "DON'T LOOK ETHEL!" But it was too late. She had been SPIKED!

In response to this in the National TV forum:

Looks like someone at Comcast got a little bored during the football game. Looks like someone at Comcast will be fired and someone will get a nasty fine from the FCC

KVOA won't be fined by the FCC, that's for sure. As for Comcast, since whoever broke into KVOA's feed was at the cable system's level, is it a finable offense for Comcast?

Two words: Used Cars. ;)

I saw the movie.. and I fully agree. I could see that happening in Tucson. ;D

...you may also recall that similar hijinks took place in the Alan Arkin picture Simon -- and that both Simon and Used Cars were 1980 releases, as I recall...

...indeed, it was. The DVD even has an extra of Kurt Russell doing an actual TV commercial for an East Valley used car lot during the time of the picture's filming...

Darner Chrysler-Plymouth at 837 West Main in Mesa was disguised as the competition,
with Kurt Russell's used car lot set up (for the movie) across the street, on what was
then an empty lot and where apartments were later built.

The issue was claimed not to be a technical glitch but rather one of "foul play" The US attorney in Phoenix has also taken up the investigation. He claims there will be jail time for the ones responsible. In the meanwhile, the FCC is taking up the issue and is considering a forfeiture against Comcast. Comcast has offered a $10.00 credit to affectewd customers.
