Comcast changing for you already?

I'm in New Britain, CT and I have Comcast Digital Cable. Sometime this afternoon, they cut the signal of HBO on analog channel 14 and is now just a screen of color bars. (I subscribe to it and receive it on digital channel 550 with the converter.) This may be the first time since the early 1980s that HBO won't be on analog channel 14 for our system. It may have to do with the fact that our lineup is getting overhauled on September 20th. I'm just wondering why they've done the switch already? (The Movie Channel, like HBO, was available to New Britain customers without a converter on channel 15...also switched off recently.)

Comcast, like very other major cable provider is moving all of their premium services to the digital tier, and in most cases leaving those channels open, and in many cases not adding any channels to an overpriced analog service.
