Comcast Houston Digital Migration

I turned on my cable-ready television about 10 minutes ago and only got the locals. I have been eagerly waiting for the mailer with the transition date (to avoid this surprise) and haven't received any mail from them.

Anybody know when the Katy/Cinco Ranch area got "transitioned"? I know that it started in Kingwood back in early March and is working its way to the more populated southern parts of the metro. Which areas are up next?
 
A poster on avsforums.com who lives in Cinco Ranch said his area was switched over on Tuesday 4/26.

You will need to order the digital terminal adapter for any analog sets that don't have a cable box. Will give you back the channels you lost, plus a few extras. Order at digitalnow.comcast.com. You can get two boxes for free with no monthly charge.

I still don't have the new channels at my Cy-Fair location.

Got my digital cable box back in December and the terminal adapters were finally available at the Katy office in February.  I ended up connecting the adapters couple of weeks later after seeing the two line items on the bill.  It's been connected for 2 months now. Still have a 3 more cable-ready TVs but can live with the local-only selection.

Hopefully internet speeds will improve since I'm planning to replace Consolidated DSL once the contract expires in 6 months.  My Dad's place in Alief has 10-15 Mb/s.  Has Alief been migrated yet?

That was me...

I have the "Blast!" internet and it is running approximately 20mbps down/4mbps up since the upgrade.

Just got the upgrade/new channels at my Cy-Fair location today (5/10.) Apparently most subscribers in the greater Cy-Fair/Tomball area were switched at the same time. As advertised, only channels 2-19 and 53-55 remain on analog. There is a graphic on Channel 61 stating that a digital converter box is needed to receive the extended basic lineup.
