Comcast in Vermont dropping American Life TV

For "legal reasons" according to the Comcast customer service rep I spoke with tonight, Comcast in Vermont will be dropping American Life TV as of August 9, 1970.

This after American Life has just started running both "Newhart" shows, Hill Street Blues, St. Elsewhere, L.A. Law, Mary Tyler Moore and WKRP.

This also means gone will be Maverick, Lawman, 77 Sunset Strip, Combat, and Superman.

When last I checked, American Life is not available on either satellite system.

With it's limited distribution, I would think American Life would work hard to get on any system it could and work harder to stay on any sytem it's on presently.

To say I'm highly disappointed is to put it mildly.

What the heck?? 1970?? So what, are we going back 37 years??

Anyway, I'm assuming that American Life TV network was there from back when it was Adelphia. It sounds to me like they're in the process of changing the lineup so that it goes with Comcast.

Re: "1970" ...

My bad! I guess I was just so steamed that my fingers went retro.

Maybe in hindsight, I should have taken this "outside", but I'm feeling much better now...
