COMCAST MIDDLETOWN-WHY WNYW?

Any particular reason why they still carry WNYW Channel 5 on the system? Football?

Has to do with you being in Middlesex County somehow. I don't understand the particulars myself. It's a similar reason why COX Communications in Meriden (New Haven County) carries WSAH-TV (IND) channel 43 of Bridgeport, also outside of the Hartford/New Haven DMA.

I asked a former comcast employee about this once, and he said it was because the middletown system is spread out into areas where WNYW is a normal OTA catch. I know, it doesn't add up to me either, but don't complain, or we might lose it like every other NYC station.
