Comcast, NBC, Infinity

Comcast (NBC) can't wait...they are already putting their name in front of us. It's now called the "Infinity sports desk" come on guys you already charge an arm and a leg for your services but now sticking your name in our face...please!

You already control the areas cable but now you want control of the public airwaves (FCC) what are you thinking?

I thought Comcast's new name was Xfinity. Infinity, IIRC, was CBS radio's old name. ???

Unless Comcast realized how stupid Xfinity sounded and took over the now unused name. :D

I goofed your right it's Xfinity.......I forgot the "X"

Maybe it's just my perverted mind, but "Xfinity" sounds like it should be a 24 hour porn channel...or maybe that would be XXXfinity.
If I remember correctly - on 30 Rock, the back story about Kabletown is that they make most of their money on soft core porn.

Good One!

For what it is worth, the Xfinity Sports Report airs in Pittsburgh on newscasts at KDKA-2, the CBS O&O. Over this past weekend, it even had a local car dealership as a sponsor.

Was Infiniti (the luxury car maker, note spelling) intended here?

In Philly, FiOS sponsors the 6ABC, WPVI, ABC O&O sports.

I think it was Lexus. I'm sure it wasn't Infiniti, but I do like the irony that would have resulted.

Infiniti is the luxury division of Nissan, Lexus is the luxury division of Toyota and, to finish off, Acura is the luxury division of Honda.

  ;)

Lincoln is the luxury division of Ford
Cadillac is the luxury division of GM
Chrysler is the luxury division of..ah.....well...um.....Chrysler

In San Fran of course Xfinity does sponsor most of the advertising on TV

Now that Comcast and NBC have merged, will KNTV be shown more in eastern Solano County?
I always found it weird that KNTV reported news and weather for Vacaville and Fairfield when the channel isn't even viewable there.

I'm not sure, but being licensed to San Jose may be the problem for KNTV - I'm sure KCRA Sacramento is closer to Vacaville and Fairfield.

Do you get KPIX, KGO-TV, & KTVU there or the respective Sacramento affiliates? Of course, those others are licensed to San Francisco and Oakland.

Yes, I get all of them. Personally, I'd rather watch KNTV than KRON. I wish we could choose since I'm right between the two.
