Not going to happen. ESPN has come to an agreement with MLB on the dollar figure for the Wednesday-Sunday package. At this point, they are now discussing rolling the other package into the new contract.

I see. Not everyone gets OLN on their cable systems, plus some cable companies
and satellite providers offer their channel only to digital cable subscribers.
For example, OLN is available on Dish Network if they only subscribe to their
"America's Top 180" package, but since I have the AT120 package, I don't get
the channel unless I upgrade the programming package.

When I used to have just regular cable TV, OLN was(and still is) available on
the basic package(Mine was channel 35). Unfortunately, cable rates went up and forced to switch from cable to Dish.

If they want to provide baseball coverage on their channel, then they will have
to offer it as a basic package as with other channels like TBS, TNT, ESPN, USA,
and so forth. Because having MLB games that offers the most watched teams such as the Yankees and the Boston Red Sox on that network would have poor ratings.

If ESPN opts out of its MLB contract, it should have went to another network, not OLN.

Competition is supposed to be better. But, as Comcast begins adding pro-sports to OLN to rival ESPN, rates will go up. Providers will have to pay more for OLN while passing it on to the customer, while ESPN won't charge any less.
