As a 4-month Time Warner customer and former 7-year Cox Communications customer, my experience with Time Warner has been completely unacceptable. I ONLY have TWC because I live in an apartment and my choices are limited. I had a problem with my internet and it would be no less than 3.5 WEEKS before they could send someone out to check it. In addition, I requested to terminate my service so they transferred me to the 'retentions dept'. In retentions, they asked me why I wanted to cancel and said "no problem". The next day, someone from TWC called me and asked me if I was home... I was at work...anyways, they told me a techician was at my apartment to fix the problem. NO ADVANCE NOTICE! They just showed up. I told them I was at work and could not meet the tech. They told me the next available service date was then 4 weeks away since I missed this appointment. Oddly enough, the tech must have been able to repair my weak signal as everything was working perfectly when I returned home. That is the ONLY reason why I still have TWC service. As a Cox customer, 3 DAYS was a long time for a tech visit for repairs. I say ADIOS Time Warner. It would be hard for Comcast to be worse, although it is a distince possibility. In the meantime, my cable is working perfectly. I couldn't be happier about the new digital simulcast of all channels under 100. Mediafrog, you are correct about their squirrely packages...GSN part of sports pack ?? What a load of crap. There are many other channels in packages that make absolutely no sense. *RANT OFF*
