Comcast/Xfinity question

Anyone know the best way to contact Comcast about getting a channel added to a cable system? I'd really like to have BBC America HD where I am (Londonderry, NH). Thanks!

Call the number to your local office and they should either log the issue for you, or tell you where you can go to voice your opinion.

We just had it added to both systems in our area (Minneapolis and St Paul) but it couldn't be added until after the analog conversion and removal of the "multicast" premium HD channels. Most Comcast systems are operating at 100% capacity, so adding a new channel at this point will involve removing another channel. By the end of the year, the rest of the analogs should be shut off everywhere (your very basic, local channels) and when that happens it should free up space for another 20-30 channels (perhaps more depending on compression).

Those would be the HD versions of HBO Signature, HBO Family, HBO Comedy, etc., right?

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll definitely give it a try.

Yes. We lost all the premium HD signals with the exception of the main ones. I assume that when they finish the conversion to 100% digital, we'll get them back.

It was a bit puzzling to me, seeing as how you actually have to pay more for those channels, you'd think they would treat those subscribers with a higher priority than those wanting Fox Soccer and GSN in HD.
