Comcast's NBC Sports to launch radio network

Comcast's NBC Sports to launch radio network, to compete with ESPN

So the Sports radio world is getting crowded now ? ? ?

The NBC Sports Radio Network will be distributed through Dial Global, a publicly traded company that provides news, sports and entertainment to 8,500 AM and FM stations. Dial Global acquired Westwood One, a major provider of traffic reports, in 2011.

Funny how, 26 years after deciding it doesn't want to be in radio anymore, NBC decides to get back in. I know, the circumstances are different, but it's still strange.

Meanwhile, since The Ticket airs stuff off/on from Westwood One, would they air any of NBC Sports Radio content? But they've also been mentioned regarding CBS's new Sports Radio network. Little bit of both? Not much of either?
