I believe this could be an obvious joke just with some of the liners and the absoulute worst segues in radio history.Johny Cash, Biz Markie and Boston in the same music set or something close to that.By the way they are playing all 3 artists.

First of all, I like all types of music and as a previous poster said, "The what are they going to play next mentality is keeping me tuned in. I do like the mix and the "WE PLAY ANYTHING" and They are doing it format has my interest.

If this is a stunt that has a positive response I guarantee the format will pop up somewhere. THIS could be a TEST.
Edited by kenwood on 04/01/06 04:47 PM.

I am a Closet Buddy FM Fan. I really like this, I keep listening for the music and when it switches back to BRU I will stop listening.

This is really good stuff, I think at least.

I think JACK-Format could work here in Providence

Sorry you feel that way...As far as I'm concerned WBRU in its usual format is by far much better than the others we have here.(Except for WBLQ of course LOL!)

Guess what just happened? The station went back to Normal and I turned Off My Radio!

Draw your own conclusions.

WBRU isn't for everyone, everyoe is entitled to their own opinion.

I like that WBRU does throw in a sort-of forgotten song once in a while, and usually I'll stop and listen.

But I really liked Buddy. Mike FM is a lot like a stereotypical variety hits outlet, but they play too many recent songs that you remember being overplayed just a few years ago, so you don't really want to hear them. Buddy had the same style as BRU with throwing in songs that you've forgotten and probably don't want to hear that much, but a play once in a while is interesting: like the Biz Markie, Fiona Apple, etc.

I think that the format could have potential in the market: if WBRU were to flip to Buddy for real (which obviously won't happen), I would be a regular listener.

Conclusion: You are too old for their 18-34 target demographic.

LOL nice

I'm barely out of their target Demo. Anyway.... I do like WBRU, but this little stunt they pulled made the station a lot better. I enjoyed it!
