Comedy Legend Jerry Stiller Dead at 92

Terrible loss to the world of television. He brought life and laughter to both King of Queens and Seinfeld. Many hilarious moments on both shows. May he forever RIP.

A very funny man who made so many of us laugh. He will be missed. I'll never forget the wonderful Blue Nun Wine commercials he and his wife performed years ago. RIP!

It's odd to think if Jerry retired at age 60, he would be remembered if it all as Anne Meara's husband. Now of course it's the other way around. Did anybody have as amazing a late career turnaround as he did?

LOL!! I nearly forgot those Blue Nun ads!! Right up there with the Dick and Bert stuff (like Time Magazine)......

I vaguely remember seeing Stiller and Meara on TV as a kid, and seeing Anne Meara in sitcoms in the 70's and 80's, but I did know who Jerry Stiller was when he started appearing on Seinfeld, even though I hadn't seen him in years.

That's how it is for me, though I only watched a few episodes of "Seinfeld" and even fewer "King of Queens" episodes. My most recent experience with the elder Stiller was a movie where he played a bad guy alongside his son who was also a bad guy but tried to be charming. The son was not one bit likeable. The father did a good job. I think John Cusack was chasing after his girlfriend.
