Coming Soon: The Perez Hilton Top 30 Countdown

The blogger has announced that he is planning on launching his own top 30 countdown show.

This on the heels of Donny Osmond getting his own radio talk show. Is this all radio has left?

Of course, I guess Hilton should be an exception to such cross-medium radio hires, since he follows the pop scene with his blog. He promises to be "a cooler alternative to Ryan Seacrest."

I'm sure Casey Kasem is proud.

Who else would be on the radio for three hours if it weren't for Perez? Some liner card reader? Why would I have that when I can have somebody who actively pursues celebrity news?

Whatever happened to the I-Tunes Download with Alex Luke? Has that show been cancelled? I thought that would have been a nice alternative to Ryan Seacrest as it relates to the new medium of the I-Pod. With Perez's countdown, I wonder if Rick Dees is in danger of being cancelled?
