... ME!

As soon as the details can be worked out, I'll be hosting a 3 to 5 hour weekend airshift on 1260 WAMS. I'll post an update on here at at my websiite, walkerbroadcasting when I've got more details!

Be sure to check out my website at http://www.walkerbroadcasting.com for more information and any updates!

They are flipping to Spanish.
You speak English.
They are in Delaware.
You are in North Dakota.
What gives?

They are NOT flipping to spanish, unless you know something that the majority/controlling owner of WAMS doesn't know or isn't planning on.

What gives? I offered my services and they accepted.

Are you saying now that RadioEng is wrong?
Before you said he knew "a little too much."

And what's the deal with the weekend show you mentioned?
What is it?
Upload? ISDN? Or are you moving to Delaware?
Is it brokered?
Don't be coy.

RadioEng is wrong. I know who he is and why he knows so much ABOUT WAMS, but I can't comment further on just exactly why he's wrong.

It is not brokered nor done via ISDN. i will be voicetracking it.

Paul: You say you know RadioEng and you say you know why he's wrong but won't comment on it? Why throw us bait, but won't reel us in, so to speak?

I have read your posts for several years on the New England-dedicated boards. I am glad you have a full-time job in radio...and I respect your dedication to broadcasting. However, what's your sudden interest in a station in a city you've never even heard of, until recently? Yes, I know Newark, Delaware like the back of my hand. I should know the area well since Newark is my home (even though I live in Massachusetts now).

1260 AM in Newark, Delaware is a nothing station now. It seems to me that the owners of the station are just playing radio, instead of running the station efficiently. The station was better back in the 80s, when I was growing up. My grandmother used to listen to the old Swap Shop program every day, along with the Frank Sinatra-type music they played. Those were the days of WNRK that I remember.

Well saying exactly why RadioEng500 is wrong would mean I hafta reveal his identity and that wouldn't be fair to him, as I respect someones privacy.

Paul has a Phlly connection and - like lots of people who leave the airea - might like to come back. (After all, North Dakota is one of the few states with a population DEcrease.) Getting a local "presence" would help (even on small station like WAMS). So he sets up a weekend voice-tracked shift. And then gets buzz going by starting WAMS threads here and on the Philly board. Not a bad strategy. It's been working for RJ, Hyski and RadioRacket.

Unfortunately, it appears you won't be coming soon to WAMS. Have they told you a possible start date?

Hmmmmm. WAMS goes dark and Paul B. Walker vanishes. Is there a connection?

No conenction, I have NOTHING to do with WAMS' operation. I am simply waiting to hear from WAMS' owner and things will happen then.
