No, wait...Truckin' Tom Kent, playing Dan Hartman!

From the promos running today, it sounds as if WKQL is picking up the weeknight 7pm version of Hall of Fame Coast to Coast starting next week.

Hey, I'll take anything to keep a radio station from sounding like a lonely jukebox.

still to little too late and i can't stand him anyway.

Could this also mean that mid-days are eventually going to get filled???? Is the station actually making money like we have been hearing.....it takes money to purchase that syndication on the weeknights.....It may just be a sign of better things to come after over a year of begging and pleading.

If it's a barter show it only requires "available inventory"... And they have PLENTY of that.

inventory?? please explain.....growing mind here would like to know.....it would def be a boost to me to understand that part when it comes to barting for shows like this.

Inventory = available time to sell.

Most syndicated programming involves running "barter spots" within the show. Barter is commercials that the program's syndicator sold themselves, like national commercials in prime time TV.

The term "barter" comes from the idea that the station is giving up some of its valuable (?) commercial time so that some regional or national commercials can run within the show everywhere it airs. There also may be cash involved in the deal, hence the term "cash plus barter." A "cash only" run is more common in television with older programs or movies, where the station pays outright for rights to run it over a period of time.

Don't get your panties in a bunch. It's called speculation.

mburg... The djtommyr post is spot-on when it comes to "inventory".
