There used to be one, it ran on weekends and it was called "KCBQ In Your Car." Yes, not the yearly event that WABC used to have.

More to the point, San Diego should have a KCBQ continued, the way WCBS is WABC continued.

Actually it was called "I still Q in my car", It was hosted by the late KCBQ jock,
Phil Flowers.I used to catch his show every Saturday evening, unfortunately, the
show was cancelled when Flowers passed away in 2003. Great show.

Anyone know where I can listen to the KCBQ Shotgun Jingle complete with echo at the end?

Also anyone know of any other radio stations that used the Shotgun Jingle? I know KVSF Santa Fe and X-ROCK 80 El Paso used the Shotgun Jingle...

Many stations during the 70's and early 80's used that same shotgun jingle. Just a few off my head:

WAPE-Jacksonville
Ten-Q (Los Angeles)
KFI-Los Angeles
KRIZ-Phoenix
WMYQ-Miami
KILT-Houston
Remember, these are just a few stations. Many more used it too.It was very popular in the 70's.
It was produced by TM Century. Speaking of jingles, has anyone heard the new jingles that the Walrus has been running lately?
