Commercial alt-rock station I can stream?

Here in Las Vegas, we just lost our alt rock station to a format change...grrr. Can all of you recommend stations I can hear online to replace it? Not public radio, please--I want a commercial station along the lines of what we had here with KVGS. Thank you!

You have KXTE in Las Vegas that plays Alt Rock.

Yes, we do, and I used to flip back and forth between KXTE and KVGS since they were right next to each other on the dial, but they play too much of that aggro/nu metal stuff for tattooed youth with pickup trucks--I'm about 20 years past their target demo, you see. KVGS had a more appealing slant on the music.

I'd recommend WFNX, here in Boston. Doesn't play ANY of that crap you mentioned the Vegas station playing, and focuses on newer, lesser-known indie music like Grouplove, Frank Turner, Two Door Cinema Club, Mean Creek, etc. http://www.wfnx.com

I'd agree with WFNX being a good one. Funny to see the same names there after all these years: Julie Kramer and Adam 12 were there when I used to listen back in the late 90s. Another good one is San Diego's 91X. Both of these are available via TuneIn Radio. I think one of the reasons these stand out for me is that they aren't owned by the conglomerates like CC and CBS.
