Commercial CCM 24/7

I thing the title of this thread is misleading. The best CCM music station in the world cannot be 24/7. At the very least, there are legally required station ID's. Add to that commercials - for commercial FM, DJ's, a few PSA's, a little traffic and weather, maybe a newscast - you do not have 24/7 music by any means.

A lot of very good CCM stations (or at least successful ones) have guest appearances by artists - and they interview the artist. Some others might play the 30 minute version of James Dobson, or the 2 minute version. Again - not a big deal because commercial stations might do the same things (with the exception of 30 minute Dobson - but he IS on some secular stations. Even the 30 minute version is on a few.)

Where I draw the line is excessive playing of tapes by local preachers, local preachers having a say in the station musical format - usually anti-CCM - embarrassing creationist propaganda, and lengthy shareathons. All are turn-offs for listeners.

I heard that song on satellite just yesterday --- WAY-FM should seriously make a deal with XM/Sirius, you guys are much better than the wimpy CCM they put on there.
 
Thanks Mr. Carter.. I (though not working for them at this time) feel proud of the group and MINISTRY that is Way-Fm and my 8 years with them.. I was one of the original Way-Fm'ers at WAYJ Fort Myers, Naples, Cape Coral and was the development coordinator and front guy for their expansion into Nashville and Clarksville-Fort Campbell.... The 'family' is still close and I will never thank them and God, enough for the BEST EIGHT YEARS of my life.. I believe the best is yet to come.. "Skip" ;D
