Commercial for porn site on 620

The other day around 1:30 in the morning, I heard a commercial on 620 for a porn website. It was a ".xxx" site, and I know this domain name extension is reserved for X-rated websites.

Doesn't the FCC have rules against terrestrial radio stations advertising these kinds of things?

Around Valentines I heard a commercial on 97X advertising the piercing of private parts to surprise your girlfriend or spouse.

Considering you indicated you heard it at 1:30 am, I doubt it.

The FCC allows certain things to air after a specific time in the evening.

I know on TV I have seen informercials for "male enhancement" airing on the overnight and doubt Radio would be any different, especially since the likelyhood of a child listening at that time of night is almost nonexistent.

I wonder how many people know that Den(n?)ison's Men's Clothier @ Rt. 22, Union, NJ, was a front.
Men took their pants off, all right! Made millions for WABC back in the day night.

Hmmm...which is worse for you and or the radio business? an .xxx site...or broadcasting from the (insert the name of overly aggressive personal injury accident) attorneys studios?

Can't be any worse than going to a concert at the (insert name of said overly aggressive personal injury accident attorneys) Amphitheater... ::)

"Open ten AM 'til five the next morning, where money talks & nobody walks...Den(n?)ison's is open now!"

I don't know why a porn site commercial, or any other idea involving porn, on WDAE, should make you guys perk up. After all, look what they do on their Facebook and Web page.

Then again, ...

Jeff in Sa-ra-so-ta!

The main reason I made this thread is because I've never heard a porn commercial on the radio in all my years of listening. I have nothing against the stuff - hey, I admit it, I even take a peek once in a while. It just struck me as a bit odd, especially after all the crackdowns by the FCC in recent years.

Not surprising, they have been advertising dildo's and vibrators (trojan "sonic twister" or whatever it is) for quite a while, I guess straight up porn sites was the next logical step for broken channel...

There have been radio adds for many years encouraging young men to travel far away and inflict serious bodily injury upon people whom they don't know and are of no threat, but the sponsors have been in league with the commission.

So that you have the freedom to criticize that action.

You are absolutely correct.
North Viet Nam was preparing to attack the US mainland and install press censorship.
