For the couple of years they've been on-air, they've promoted themselves as "absolutely no commercials." Radio novices wondered how they could do that, but radio pro's like us know the secret that it's just to shave a few ratings points off of WFPG so that WEZW's sister station can do better in the ratings. But now, in the past few weeks, I've noticed commercials on WEZW. Is it just on their webstream or is it over-the-air too? My wife listens to WEZW on the Wi-Fi radio all the time. It's her favorite station. Just the other day she told me she's hearing commercials and I was like "no dear, they don't air commercials on WEZW." But alas, the wife is right! They are airing commercials now. I'm guessing they actually got a few folks who wanted to advertise on WEZW and WEZW said, "sure, why not. It's a few extra bucks."
