this is a joke right? not even hd-2 stations will give us rock.. ::)

Looking at that lineup, I wouldn't be laughing.

big whoop..wnoe -2 country?? wtf?? wkbu--live rock?? 2 more urbans? geez will radio in new orleans ever get it right? why not classic country? oldies? deep album rock? active rock? alternative rock? any rock?

About damn time

About damn time we get HD2 in Louisiana. It'll be interesting to see how the morons that program stations in New Orleans screw it up.

;D

Hell you figured WWL would have put Kool on HD... ???

I can understand the spanish, but agree on the needing of new rock on HD2 if someone doesn't come forward on the air soon.

They sure got the HD1 formats wrong though...But at least WRNO is going news :) even if only on HD2:)

but agree.. another set of channels and NOLA radio still isn't right....

At least you won't have to worry about WWL putting on their cross-eyed, bald, raging racist midget or that 60 year old malingering gay Lebanese fossil. ;)

???

But I doubt it will even catch on with listeners...how long will it take to get the new receivers on the market and actually in use???? So 'RNO news will only be on HD2?

I don't know on the WRNO thing... re-news scares me.. like doing a replay or rehash of it say every 15 minutes... Cause as someone said, two main FM stations doing news is somthing to be done in Dallas or Houston, not a market 57 IMO

It's not speculation on HD, according to the article on radioandrecords, this is supposed to be on air by the end of the year

The recievers are on the market but remember the old adage "If you build it they will come".. That's what radio's having to do to sell the radios and try to compete against Sat radio. But the receivers are still in the techno-geek price range.. (Crutchfield is selling a few) gonna take a few years to bring them down into bubba range (unless the car makers start putting them in like they are the sat radios)

RFLA

but bubba still wouldnt have them because they arent going to retrp these radios and put them in 1975 chevy pick-ups..bubba and everyone else in and around new orleans went through katrina last year..bubba aint got no money..........

UPDATE....................

FROM ALL ACCESS..

NEW ORLEANS
Gospel KHEV (Christian AC)
Country WNOE (New Country)
Urban WQUE (New Urban)
Talk WRNO (News)
Urban AC WYLD (Smooth Jazz

talk wrno??? cc has wrno listed as talk..

More importantly, none of these formats are anything that would cause me to want to buy an HD radio if I was still in New Orleans.
