Am I wrong or is there seperate spots running over the air on 106.9 and on the internet? Good Move KFRC Management! Two revenue streams way to go! Now use a little bit of the profits and hire an air staff post haste. Come on John Mac and others give them a chance to get started before you ask for a raise! Performance before higher wage wishes, better yet get out there and bring in some sponsors for your show for a percentage of the dollars brought in! Why should a group of sales executives get to have all the fun counting their money! Get out there and bring in some too. This can't be an unheard of thing to do, so can you? Dang! Imagine me praising CBS Management!

At least KFRC has ads on the Net. KGO has dead air, which I don't like. Hmm KFI has local ads. Countdown begins on Citadel's buyout of KGO... Get your corncobs ready!

I believe most Clear Channel stations do this as well.

Any commercial done with AFTRA talent can not, generallly, run on the streamed audio due to advertiser or agency prohibitions. So other spots, or PSAs, are plugged in.
 
The problem with spots using AFTRA talent is that the station must pay an "Internet rate" to air them, so they block them. It isn't that they CAN'T air. AFTRA - (disclosure: I'm a card-carrying member) - thought they would cover the bases a few years back and go for a fee on commericals aired on Internet streams. Clever, right? Well, the stations all agreed and then just don't air them.
