Companies that still make reel to reel tape

You'll get a much faster answer if you just type that into google...

But, as far as I can tell...quantegy is the only company still making audio tape for reels...

I will probably be pointed out as completely wrong...so, check it out at google.

Or pretty much any Broadcast supply shop like BSW or Harris...

Quantegy tape is in the Musician's Friend catalog. Some other on-line resellers may also have it.

Thanks. Remember the days when Maxell, Ampex and the Radio Shack brand (that sucked) made reel to reel tape?

This is the time of year I fill spare time at the studio dubbing folks old reel-to-reels to CD fro Christmas gifts. It's amazing how good some recordings, even home recordings, from the 50's hold up on that old brown tape (especially when compared with the lousy expensive black backed tape which self-destructs unless you bake it!)
