First, thank you to those who have been giving me positive feedback, and thank you to those who have given what they feel are truthful perspectives, but apparently, some clarifications are in order. 1. I am using the term "Board Op" because if I gave my REAL title, someone on this board that works with me may see it and tattle. Let me give you a little hint, what is the official title of a "Board Op" in the television business? That's ONE of my official titles. 2. Before I was moved to a "Board Op" position, I was Production Director. I am now a "Co-Production Director" because of my hours and days off. I STILL work hand-in-hand with the Sales Staff. I STILL work hand-in-hand, on occassion, with clients, and I STILL write copy when the Sales Staff does not like what our company's PAID copywriting service sends them. HOWEVER, I am still not satisfied with the direction my career is going. It has taken a step back, and now it's becoming stale. I am not the "Complacent" type. I'm not the type that says "Hey. As long as the checks keep coming in, who cares what I do." That's not me. I want a CHALLENGE!! I want to wake up every morning on FIRE!! Ready to take on whatever comes my way, and WIN!! That's not happening where I am now, and I DON'T LIKE IT!! I don't want a Sales Position as a "Buffer" between On-Air gigs. I have done the "On-Air" side of the business, now I want to LEARN, GROW, and SUCCEED in the Sales side of the business!! Plain and simple!! With those statements alone, I have probably said too much. Hopefully no one I work with knows about this board. So, now that those clarifications have been made, maybe I can get a different perspective from all of you. But either way, I WILL do as I have ALWAYS done in this industry, and that's PROVE PEOPLE THAT THINK I WILL FAIL WRONG!!
