I'm looking for a low cost solution to feed the composite output of a Optimod 8100 into a FM transmitter (Part 15) Any suggestions. Thanks

Broadcast Warehouse makes a SUPERB (and inexpensive) 1 watt FM exciter that your 8100A will feed directly. As far as part 15 compliance goes, I run one of them with a 1-2" piece of a paper clip for an antenna & it carries about 200' on a good car radio which is about what a compliant Part 15 FM system does. I feed mine with Breakaway Broadcast Processor with a Marian Trace Alpha sound card...it sounds better & louder than most of the $10,000 processor based stations around here.

I assisted one of the participants in my forums in modifying a C. Crane original model FM Transmitter to feed the composite of a Optimod 8000a into the transmitter. The modification was pretty simple and the end result sounded great on a nearby FM radio.

I also like the Broadcast Warehouse products too although I hadn't experimented with them much.
