Computers Still Baffle Me

Last night I "downloaded" (so I thought) the WABC oldies show from Matt. Thank you Matt, again.

I listened for a while to it, and went to sleep shutting down my computer. When I turned it on this morning I tried the URL that I copied to my realplayer library but it would not respond.I got an error message. I thought downloading meant that it was in my hardrive and I could not lose it or have to retrieve it anywhere.

I downloaded the latest URL, which is different and I am recording it to a file in real time, though I have an icon and probably a downloaded file, but I will take no chances this time.

I do not understand why the file I downloaded last night would not respond. What am I not getting here?

I still think women are harded to understand than computers though.

I am forever stuck with both.

Steve, I don't think you saved it. When you click the link for YSI, you're going to go to their site, and you have to hit the download button there, and actually save it to a location on your computer. I suggest you make a file called MP3 Airchecks, so you will always know where you saved them. Once it is saved, you can open it up and listen. Hope this helps. Matt
